reCREATE Community Grant

The reCREATE Community Grant supports older adults aged 60 and over in Saanich by providing funding to access local recreation opportunities. This grant helps seniors stay active, socially connected, and engaged in lifelong learning.
The Saanich Legacy Foundation proudly helps fund reCREATE through generous donations from the public. By reducing financial barriers, this program ensures low-income seniors have the chance to participate in Saanich Recreation programs—activities that support both physical and mental well-being. For many, reCREATE makes the difference between joining in or being left out.
Grants are awarded based on the same low-income thresholds as the LIFE program. However, applicants facing exceptional financial challenges—such as high medical costs or recovery from surgery—may still be considered even if they are above the standard limits. As funding is limited, not all applicants will receive support.
Saanich Legacy Foundation invites the community to support reCREATE. Every donation helps ensure more older adults can stay active, healthy, and connected. By donating, you’re helping create a more inclusive and caring Saanich.
