Queer and Trans Farmers' Market at Oaklands Community Association
Funded in part by the Golden Jubilee Endowment Fund via the Saanich Legacy Foundation
The Saanich Legacy Foundation, through the Golden Jubilee Endowment Fund, is proud to support inclusive community programming at the Oaklands Community Market that uplifts and empowers queer and transgender youth.
This initiative provides a safe and supportive environment for 2SLGBTQ+ youth to engage with the community, showcase their talents, and participate in vibrant local events. Whether through art displays, music performances, or volunteer opportunities, queer and trans youth are given space to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Held throughout the summer, the Oaklands Community Market is more than just a neighbourhood gathering—it’s a platform for inclusion, expression, and connection. With support from the Saanich Legacy Foundation, the market continues to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that all youth feel welcome and valued.
Programs like this reflect our shared vision of a more inclusive community—one where diversity is embraced and every young person has a place to belong.
