Celebrating 20 Years of Music in the Park

For twenty years, Music in the Park has brought communities together through free outdoor concerts held in neighbourhood parks across Saanich.

Presented by Saanich Parks, Recreation & Community Services The Saanich Legacy Foundation is proud to sponsor what has become a summer tradition enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors each year.

Music in the Park showcases talented local musicians while creating welcoming spaces where families, neighbours, and friends can gather, relax, and enjoy live entertainment in beautiful outdoor settings.

The 20th Anniversary season celebrates not only the music, but also the incredible volunteers, community associations, sponsors, performers, and supporters who have helped make this program a lasting success.

The Hit List at Beckwith Park

Continue the 2026 Music in the Park season with The Hit List, performing an energetic mix of danceable hits at Beckwith Park. Known for getting audiences on their feet, The Hit List delivers an evening of high-energy entertainment that’s perfect for all ages. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy a free summer concert with family, friends, and neighbours.

This concert is proudly supported by the North Quadra Community Association, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to strengthening the community through local events, neighbourhood initiatives, and opportunities that bring residents together. Their continued support helps make Music in the Park a welcoming summer tradition for everyone to enjoy.

Youth Vendor Program

New for 2026, young entrepreneurs, artists, and crafters aged 15 and under are invited to participate in selected Music in the Park concerts through the Youth Vendor Program.

This initiative provides an opportunity for young people to showcase their creativity, gain valuable business experience, and connect with the community in a supportive environment.

Preserving the Legacy of Music in the Park

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Music in the Park, this year’s concert series will be filmed to help preserve its history for future generations. The archive initiative was developed by our web development team at Manifest Marketing, who volunteered to design and build the online archive. The project is being coordinated by Archer’s Community Hub, our newest community partner and a volunteer-run creative space that supports local artists and community collaboration, with video production provided by JayzWayz Productions.
